What changes the quote
- Parts on allocation or boards stuck in customs extend calendar time but not always effort—we quote explicit waiting assumptions.
- Closed toolchains without CI access require on-site days or VPN setup billed separately.
- Dual-core or safety-partitioned firmware (TrustZone, MPU regions) typically adds 25–40% to stabilisation effort.
- OTA pipelines with rollback requirements need explicit test matrix agreement before we fix the underlying bug.
